Firstly, they rank among Virgin Gorda’s finest white-sand beaches. And second? They’re each within strolling distance of A Dream Come True – aptly explaining this amazing villa’s name. Those strolls might also see you carrying the snorkelling gear or six double kayaks which are stored beside the home’s own small shore and its pergola-topped, daybed-dotted deck.
Nor do the perks end there. Repeatedly named Virgin Gorda’s best villa, A Dream Come True also boasts an infinity pool with stepped access for children. Flanking this are various, cascading sun decks, and then an acre of fruit trees and fragrant frangipani trees. The main house itself is hugged by a shaded terrace to enable al fresco meals as the sun sets breathtakingly right in front of you, over the sea.
Just inside is the tiled ‘great room’, with designated areas for dining, TV-watching and cooking – the latter in a sleek kitchen packed with appliances – below a high ceiling.
Three similarly-chic bedrooms are up and downstairs, with two more in a poolside cottage; all are en-suite and huge, and all have a patio or terrace access. That, along with the dedicated housekeeping team and chef, makes this homework not just for families, but also groups of friends or honeymooners intent on a sublime, stress-free week in paradise.
